Singing for Theatre: Movie Musicals

Continue to advance your singing and storytelling skills. Spring quarter will feature songs from movie musicals such as Mama Mia, Hairspray, and La La Land. Areas covered include vocal technique, music theory, breath control, rhythm, melody, sight-reading, and acting through song. Students expand their vocal range, fine-tune their ears, strengthen breathing, and learn new music, all in a small class. (This class does not take the place of individual voice lessons, which should be taken privately, year-round, for serious singers.)
