Dance Essentials 2

Dance Essentials provides tools to increase flexibility and improve core strength. Come work on techniques for musical theatre, and the fundamentals of turns and jumps. Explore acting through dance, specificity of movement, dancing with strength, and selling a dance number. Dance Essentials 2 expands on Dance Essentials 1 skills and adds: Soutenu, Stag Jumps, Basic Rolls, Attitude Turns, Drag Turns, Compass Turns, Basic Fan Kicks, Double Pirouettes, Mastered Jete Form/Technique, Selling a Number, Faster Pick Up Skills, Learn and Perfect Proper Split Form. Proficiency in these skills is required to move into the next level. This is a 23 week class, with breaks for Salmon Days, holidays, and school breaks.
